Location: Cove, Oregon
Temp: 90 degrees F
Status: Feeling a sense of accomplishment, yet melting somewhat from the heat.
Our new home does not have air conditioning, a fact that we soon may need to revise........It finally settles down to about 80 degrees inside the house by 11:00 - 12:00 PM. We sleep hot and restless, but we don't have anything else to complain about. Happy are we.
Our dog Murphy hates the heat. He is a yellow Lab. I took the hose and wet him down a bit, and he seemed to be grateful for that. He laid down in the shade with a breeze blowing, and took a nap. Not minding the heat, my husband slapped on his new straw cowboy hat and installed a beautiful barn star on the side of the horse stalls. It looks nice against the fresh paint. A good luck omen for us.
I am happy to see my DH so happy - He is able to finally relax a bit, yet at the same time, work on the house and the yard. He loves to putter. The dog just follows him around with a smile on his face, too.
During the high heat of the afternoon we moved some lawn chairs underneath the big choke cherry tree. In the shade we could watch the lawn sprinklers travel along the path of the hose, watering the fruit trees. DH wants to make some rock steps down from the patio to the lawn, so he is happy to be planning the details. We sipped on cold strawberry lemonade, and talked about how fortunate and blessed we are.
And the reason I am blogging today, the PixelScrapper Community is having a free bloghop this month, entitled "Sweet Things". There are LOTS of items in each blog, as we just could not stop making items with this bright and happy palette.
Here is my portion:
You can download it from my BOX account: DOWNLOAD
To get to all of the other blogs in this blog train, they are posted in this forum topic area, along with the previews of what they are providing you. These are all CU, so enjoy them as much as we all enjoyed making them for you. They have been through quality control, so you are assured of a great graphic for each element and paper.
As always, if you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to offer them. I am always trying to improve upon my skills. If you are interested in some of my other scrapbook kits, I sell through the "Southern Comfort Scraps" store.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
